During my pregnancy people would often ask me if the kids were excited about having a baby and while Bubby loved to talk and hug my belly I knew he didn't really grasp what having a baby meant for our family. When Junebug arrived he was excited because he was feeding off of Little Miss's excitement but still didn't really show much interest in holding a baby. Now that we are nearing the end of week two he seems much more aware and interested. He will go sit on the chair and say, "I hold her," and when he gets in bed to sleep he asks to see baby.
He still has plenty of times during the day where he is in the zone and totally forgets about the baby but when he is ready to love on her he has pure joy for this little one.
