  Newborn Session {Charlotte}

 I have to share this precious newborn session with you guys! All five pounds of this baby just melts my heart. Editing newborn sessions always takes the most time and I'm beginning to wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I just stare at my screen in awe of God's marvelous creation.

{Family Session}

This sweet family invited me out to their ranch for this session. When I pulled in the gate my little photography heart went pitter-patter. It was a dream. It had everything you could want and more. Their daughter was on a mission the whole time, but could you really blame her? I absolutely love capturing children in their natural state. At two years old she wants to explore, see the horses, run over the bridge, see her grandparents, swing and drive the tractor. Heck, at almost 30 years old I wanted to do those things too.

As always, I'm honored to capture these moments.

{ Baby Cooper } Newborn Session

Is there anything sweeter than a newborn baby? I think not. I cannot get over this precious little life and the story God is writing for him as we speak. He has been born into an amazing family and I look forward to watching him grow.
Is it possible to have 100 favorite pictures? This session proved to me that it is indeed possible to love every picture. I also learned that it's incredibly difficult to click the delete button when this little guy is your subject.
I hope you enjoy!

Family Session { Johnstons }

I'm honored to share this next families pictures with you.

They are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child and this child will be coming to them through the beauty of adoption. In their hearts they are a family of four and that's why it was so special to include this baby in the pictures. When they drove up to the location and saw four chairs lined up.....tears soon followed.

Here are the lyrics to one of my favorite songs by Ross King from his CD "Perhaps I've Shed Too Much", the song title is "Home" and it beautifully describes adoption and some of the feelings he and his wife had. It makes me cry every time.
 Your mother and I had a plan

We knew the ending before it began

American woman, American man

With American dreams

How could we ever have known?

The God who can save had a dream of His own

He opened our heart and He made it your home

And it changed everything

Not flesh of my flesh

Not blood of her blood

You are heart of her heart

And soul of my soul

Your mother and I were broken inside

Then you came and made us whole

And now we're loved by your love

And you are named with our name

Cause a real family is more than biology

It's more than looking the same

Would we have prayed a different way

If we had known that God would bring you home?

Nothing prepared us for this

We never knew we would fall like we did

Surely there's no one that's ever been given

A sweeter surprise

All we can give is our love

Love is the way you were given to us

We only pray we can love you enough

For the rest of our lives

You are heart of her heart

And soul of my soul

Your mother and I were broken inside

Then you came and made us whole

And now we're loved by your love

And you are named with our name

Cause a real family is more than biology

It's more than looking the same

Would we have prayed a different way

If we had known that God would bring you home?
Now I can't wait for the newborn session!

Welcome Home {US Marine Sgt Wells}

This past Saturday I had the privilege of photographing a friend of mine as she and her two boys welcomed home their Daddy after being gone for over nine months serving our country. This was also the first time he would be holding his new four month old son in his arms. I knew it was going to be an emotional day and I wanted to capture every moment in a way that would tell a story for years to come.

The day was full of excitement and anticipation, as we approached the welcoming area it wasn't long after we arrived that we heard someone announce, "the plane is 10 minutes away!" Everybody began moving around to take their place in line and before we knew it people in the crowd began pointing and shouting, "there it is! there it is!" I have never felt such emotion. I could feel it all over my skin and right down to my core that the sight and sound of that plane landing was the best sound in the world, it signified that their men were home safe and about to be in their arms.
We waited eagerly patiently for them to get off the plane and march in and straight into the arms of their loved ones. As they approached the crowd cheered and clapped and everybody had a smile from ear to ear as well as tears streaming down their face. It was a beautiful day. It touched my heart deeply as I witnessed what these men and their families sacrifice as they answer the call to serve.

From the bottom of my heart,
Thank you!

Maternity Session {Alli}

Remember my sister-friend Alli that got married in March? Well...I'm beyond trilled to announce that the Lord has blessed them with a baby due in late December. I can't wait to watch my friend fulfill her dreams as a mother to this precious baby.

They came for a visit recently and she was willing to brave the heat to capture this time in their life. I'm pretty sure it was around 105 degrees when we took these. Isn't she just beautiful?!

The red vintage phone that's pictured below was something she actually purchased in Savannah while on their honeymoon. Little did they know it would go in a nursery just 9 months later. Love it!

I love you sweet friend!

One-Year Session {Jenson}

Back when I first announced that I was setting out on this photography business adventure my friend Pam was one of the first people to contact me about doing a session. We went to Texas A&M together and hadn't seen each other in almost five years. I'm honored that she not only drove from Houston to get together for this session but that she has supported me in this venture since..... well really before the beginning. Thank you so much friend for your encouragement and support!
Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Family Session {The Mousers}

Last week I had such a good time photographing this family with their new little four month old dimply bundle of joy. My husband works with Coach Mouser and it just so happens that he and I went to High School together. Being that we've known each other since the school days made it particularly special to capture these moments of them with their new little boy...who might I say looks just like his Daddy.

Here are just a few of my favorites!

If I base this child's future strictly off of photo props he's going to be one well rounded athlete!

Two-Year Portrait Session {Sadie Bug}
Last week I was schooled in advanced two- year old vocabulary as this little bug walked around repeating everything that was said and answering (correctly) every question that was asked. She read The Very Hungry Caterpillar with ease and spunk, as it's her favorite book right now. I really enjoyed how her parents wanted to capture her love for this book in pictures. She's a lover of books, balloons, bubbles and so much more!

 Isn't she the cutest little thing? And look at those beautiful blue eyes!

Siemsglusz Family Session

Earlier this week I had the greatest time doing a session  for The Siemsglusz Family.This couple was blessed with triplets two years ago after years of waiting, tears, heartache and prayers. My favorite part of this session was the love and joy that these parents had for every smile, giggle and cute pose each child made. At one point Addison put on a pair of glasses and the genuine laugh of excitement that came from her Daddy absolutely touched my heart. And this Momma...oh my word....she is the most patient person with such a tender heart. I loved watching her care for her babies and gently guide them along.

Here are a few of my favorites!

I got a text the following morning that all three babies slept past 10 the next morning. I must have worn them out in the best of ways...we had a blast!

So if you want your babies to sleep in....contact me for a session!

Maternity Session { Baby W }

This Mother to be is absolutely beautiful inside and out. She is patient, soft spoken and has such a gentle spirit about her.I was honored to capture this next step in life for this precious family.

I can't wait to meet baby Tatum in August.....she has no choice but to be perfect!

Newborn Session {Baby J}

I was honored to capture the precious new life of baby Jonah in a recent session. Jonah's Daddy is away from home serving our country and won't meet his son face to face until he returns from duty. It's in these moments that I realize how powerful pictures are, to this Dad it's as close as he gets to holding his newborn. I can't even image the sacrifice this whole family is making. Thank you Wells Family for serving in a way many aren't willing to do.

Please pray for this family..... this wife who is mother of a two-year old and now three week old baby as she journeys through this chapter of life without the help of her husband and pray protection over their Daddy that he would make a safe return home.

Thank you so much for voting for my photo in the contest. I'm over the moon that my photo won!!!! Can you believe it?

Click it Up a Notch

I guess now is a good time to share my journey with you.

I have always enjoyed capturing a moment through a lens but found myself having a vision in my head that wasn't coming to fruition when I looked back through my viewfinder. I began reading, studying and asking tons of questions in the area of photography and the more I learned the more I wanted to know. I started to visualize every moment and every scene in pictures. As I was learning I continued to use my point and shoot while saving up for a camera and after 8 months of saving and one hot August yard sale I finally had the money to purchase my first DSLR. Thus began my full on love affair with all things photography.

This journey has been such a blessing to me as I have enjoyed capturing our life and sharing it with all of you. It has been a gift to preserve a moment that can be remembered for years to come. Now that I have found this passion I'm enjoying learning a new art as well as sharing my small amount of knowledge with others.

With this gift the Lord has opened doors for photography to be a way to provide financially for our family. Living on one income is not easy but the Lord has been faithful in providing for us through different ways, photography now being one of them. I'm so excited to see how this unfolds and I pray that I will stay in his will through it all. If you would like to talk more about scheduling a session you can email me at robynjfarmer@gmail.com

I clicked it up a notch

 I'm entering in Courtney's Click It Up a Notch  favorite photo of May contest.

My favorite photo for the month of May has to be of my daughter captured after her two year photo shoot . For the shoot she wore a cute outfit and I got some great pictures but at the end of the day when the outfit was dirty and the Birthday girl was hot and tired is when I captured the essence of her sweet little spirit. I love the way she's blowing bubbles like she's done it all her life. I love her arched back, protruded belly and perched lips. I love that the moment is real. I love the image of childhood freedom, it's beautiful.

When you give a baby a sucker at the beginning of a photo shoot this is what the second location wardrobe change looks like and I wouldn't want it any other way.

{Birthday Girl}

Happy Birthday sweet girl! I can hardly believe that it has only been two years ago that you came into this world. It feels as though you have been with us all along, maybe that is because I had prayed and hoped for you for so many years. You seem like such a big girl these days and at the same time I still see you as my baby. I love watching you grow, learn, and develop into the person that you are.

These days you love to do arts and crafts, help in the kitchen and read books, especially your Jesus Storybook Bible. Your love for ducks has not faded. You love drinking water and playing in water, especially Nellie's water bowl. You love shoes and the places they take you, namely outside. I love the way you say "nelmo" and any new word we teach you. You love to dance and get others dancing with you. You freely give hugs and kisses. You  model giving to me. I enjoy watching you make sure that everyone is included and has whatever it is that you have or are eating, I need to be more like you in this area. You are so tender with your Bubby. Your gentle touch when you kiss and hold him makes me stop and praise the Lord for the gift of children and love.

You are bright, spunky, sweet, pure hearted, loving, tender,  funny and so much more. I feel so unworthy of you. I have been blessed by the Lord with the calling to raise you up in him and I praise him for that each day. I love you more than you will ever know.

Happy 2nd Birthday!
