We're Back!

We got back yesterday evening from our vacation in Boca Raton, Florida. We had a wonderful time visiting my family and celebrating my Dad's 70th Birthday. We quickly learned that flying and hotel living with small children is less of a "vacation" and better described as an "experience." We love our life and we love our time together as a family but we didn't get much sleep. We came home, looked at the clock and wondered if the children would think we were crazy if we put them to bed at 5:30pm. I'm totally zapped of all energy. I started laundry last night and finished it this morning. It feels great to get things put away and get back in our routine. Today was rainy and dark in the house, the absolute perfect welcome home weather if you ask me. I will post more pictures later once I log more hours with my pillow.Tonight's pictures are from my iphone, if you follow me on Instagram then you will see some of the same pictures.

Our view

Our two saving graces on the plane ride home. Honey-wheat pretzel rods to serve as a teething soother and diapers as a pillow to keep her head in place. Bubby literally gnawed on this pretzel for two hours and then cut a new tooth.

Can't wait to share more with you later! Oh, and I have a question. Little Miss has sand trapped in the lining of her swimsuit and I can't get it out by washing it, do any of you have any suggestions that doesn't involve me cutting the lining?

  1. Glad you had a fun time back home with your family! I have to agree with you though, traveling can be a lot of work! :)

My dad turns 70 this year too! :) His birthday is in September, but I am due shortly after, so I don't think we will get home for it.:(

  3. Treat her swim suit as you would tender greens. Swish gently and change the water often.
