Insta-Friday

Our week through my camera phone

My first time EVER to get a pound cake out of the pan in one piece. I've had plenty of practice as it's one of my favorites. I pretty much love anything with almond extract...and butter....and cream cheese for that matter.

I had my feelings hurt earlier in the week by some rude comments that were left on this here blog. Don't know why people feel the need to be ugly. Anyways, the Hubby and Bubby ran "errands" and when I heard a knock at the door I found this cute guy......

All better. This. This is what matters.

We made turkey cookies.

Apparently this is a childhood favorite for Matt.

A beautiful day at the park

Sissy feeding Bubby

Basketball season is here!

Last night we had weather cool enough for hot cocoa.

Little Miss got her first taste of hot cocoa "coffee" with "marshapillows" and was in heaven. The girl didn't come up for air until the cup was empty

Oh and lesson learned, generic brand marshmallows are NOT the same as Kraft jet puffed marshmallows. Found that out last night.

Hope yall have a great Friday!

You might have to share your pound cake recipe. I found a square-shaped bundt pan at a garage sale, and I need a yummy excuse to use it!

  8. All you need to remember is the people who's lives you do touch through your blog...hurt people, hurt other people...you are right, there is no need to be ugly...don't let it get you down...for every 'ugly person' there are a hundred beauties enjoying your work!

  9. I just wanted to tell you how sweet your blog is. Please don't allow someone else's bad day to ruin yours. After 25 years of marriage, raising 2 wonderful children(and losing one of them), I have decided that life is much too short and quick to waste on worrying about what other people say. Really. Live your life to the best of your ability. Kiss your precious children and husband every day. Tomorrow comes way too quickly. Hugs.
