Sweet Basil Fruit Dip {Recipe}

I don't know about you but this weather has me craving all things fresh. What better way to do fresh than basil and strawberries? These two work beautifully together for a perfect combination that's sure to have your taste buds begging for more.

My friend Alli made this dip last time she was down for a visit and I believe she had tried it at a Central Market grocery store. Her version was made with sour cream so I thought I would swap that out for some fat-free Greek yogurt to allow for a guilt free snack.

Here's what you need:
1/2 cup of fat-free Greek yogurt
2 Tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2-3 fresh sweet basil leaves

Combine the sugar and the yogurt

Stir the sugar until it's smooth and there are no more sugar crystals.

Add the vanilla

Mince the basil and add it to the mixture.

Allow the basil to "marry" the mixture for at least 30 minutes and then serve it with fresh strawberries.

Now sit back and enjoy this beautiful Spring weather and don't for one second think about how hot it's going to get this Summer. But if we must think ahead to the summer let's think about how great this recipe will be for all those baby showers and garden parties. Ohh.... I can't wait for shower food! Isn't it the best?
